- Invited Duncan Murdoch from University of Western Ontario for his talk on the R-project (R Statistical Programming)
- Maintained Budget and Space Reservations for 2007 conference
- Presented proposal to SAFC for student funding and secured $8800
- Speaker liason and conference volunteer for 2006 conference
President - Linux User's Group - 2007-2008
- Introduced speakers including Massimo Di Pierro from Depaul University (gave a presentation on his framework web2py)
- Held successful workshop on how to install pendrive linux on USB sticks
- Held successful workshop on how to build a computer from miscellaneous parts, affectionately known as a "Frankenstein machine"
- Held "Newbies Week" series of classes for introducing students to the basics of using Linux
- Held a successful "Install Fest" every semester - a day long event where we install and tweak our favorite linux distributions
- Fund-raising included an auction of hand-made stuffed penguins
- Responsible for creating the Tux Penguin Costume, commonly worn around campus including a Microsoft event, signaling the birth of the annual Flourish! Conference
Web Designer and Web Master - Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience - installed backend modules for easy updating for the end-user
