About Jen

I am a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I study both Behavioral Neuroscience and Computer Science. I am particularly interested in the brain and the mechanisms through which it computes the visual world. I think using psychophysics and illusions are very good and non-invasive ways to study the human brain. I think that if we consider all aspects of the neural circuitry comprising the processes through which we visually perceive the world, then we will truly get a robust picture of all the data at hand. I hope to study "both sides of the coin" so to speak, as to minimize the probability of erroneous assumptions.

I am a *huge* statistics geek. I love the R-project and do everything with their program R. I like to play with data and see what relationships I can find. :D I never really realized how fun playing with numbers could be until I met the non-linear regression, and that's only the tip of the iceberg! Modeling data is just, so fun. OMG.
